Journey to Moon in 2023

 


2023 is set to be a magnificent year for Moon missions. This year Russia, India and the European Space Agency are all gearing up to launch missions to the Moon and deep space.

This follows on right after the NASA's Artemis 1 mission, which recently orbited the moon successfully and used a spacecraft designed to return people to the lunar surface.

India plans to launch the Chandrayaan-3 mission to the moon in this June, using a spacecraft and a robotic rover to explore the surface. India did this project for the first time in 2008 named it as Chandrayaan-1.


Moreover, Russia is munificent for the latest technology and it plans to launch the Luna 25 mission in the month of July, by placing a spacecraft on the moon to gain samples from its south polar region. 

 

The American company SpaceX named their trip to the moon "Dear Moon". This will be the first mission of its spacecraft named Starship. The capability of this ship is to carry 100 people. 


More on, NASA plans to launch its next mission to the moon in 2024, called Artemis-2. 
The US Agency is scheduled to launch the Artemis-3 mission in 2025 or 2026, when the first black person and first woman will land on the moon. 


In addition to this, China has announced plans with Russia to establish a joint base on the moon by 2035 but no schedule has been set yet.
